Reuven Rosen, LMSW

Therapist

Hi, I’m Reuven. I help adolescents, adults, couples, and families overcome anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts. My approach is tailored to each client, choosing tools from positive psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

But reading my credentials doesn’t answer your most important questions about working with me: Will I be supportive and non-judgmental? Will you be comfortable sharing what’s hard to share? Will we make progress? Yes, yes, and yes.

I’ll always see you as a person, building a rapport based on mutual respect. I’ll never push you in a way that you don’t want to go. Instead, we’ll work as a team to discover your strengths and values and empower you to live them. We’ll uncover the deep needs that motivate you and learn how to fulfill them in a healthy way. Does that sound heavy? It could be, but we'll keep our sessions as light as possible, gently moving forward.

I believe in the good in every person and every relationship. In fact, I started my professional journey as a teacher, rehabilitating the “troublemakers.” From there, I became a parent coach, helping clients manage children with intense behaviors. And ultimately, I earned my master’s in social work from the University of Maryland, working with teens and families in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Even now, I’m constantly updating my skills.

Let’s work together to help you live your best, most meaningful life.
