Therapist

Jenn is a therapist who works with adolescents and adults; she offers a welcoming therapeutic approach geared toward the client’s goals for therapy.  She understands that therapy takes work. Jenn’s strong rapport with her clients instills the necessary support for them to reach their potential. Adolescents is a time filled with change. This is seen physically by the body and felt emotionally by the shift in hormones. Jenn connects with teens trying to find their purpose, adjust to environmental stressors and learn self worth.

Jenn appreciates collaborating with teens and adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and adjustment. Focusing on teens and adults, Jenn has found power in teaching the principles of positive communication and healthy boundaries. This promotes meaningful connection with the self and peers. Jenn treats clients who present with varying trauma histories. Specifically, she addresses feelings of avoidance and numbness in addition to changes in sleep pattern and self-esteem. Jenn often works with self-destructive behaviors including self-harm and suicidal ideation. Processing witnessed or experienced abuse, assault, and violence requires a careful technique that allows the client to take back control.

Jenn has an eclectic therapeutic approach utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Jenn’s calm demeanor and open methodology allows clients to feel comfortable engaging in therapy. She believes there is value in going at the client’s pace while offering exploration techniques, coping strategies and psychoeducation to guide the client in the process of self-discovery. If you have a desire to overcome feelings of stress and hopelessness, Jenn will give you the tools to regain peace and stability in your life.
